The 93 Honda F2 was my first bike in the United States. Being grown up in India, I drove only motorcycles for the most part and the motorcycle fun never ceased to amaze me. I used to have a yamaha 100cc (yeah, its tiny), blew up the piston twice and then switched on a much gentler (horribly slower) Suzuki Samurai, again 100cc. Hey, i didnt have the luxury of bigger better bikes while i was back there..
The F2 was real, had good acceleration, lighter and I could get on with it instantly. I picked this up from my co-worker; wanted to buy a used bike first, before taking my chances with an expensive new one... and to my surprise, the CBR amazed me with its agility and speed.. almost like new ones. Well, the one I had has slight less horses than the new ones.. but it was enough for me!:)
The new 2002 CBR F4i is apparently very sweet and I strongly suggest the F4i especially if you are looking for not just speed.. my understanding is that Honda always focused on alround bike feel and not just the sheer power, like Yamaha and suzuki did, and that reflects in their bikes.. Well, its a tough call when it comes to choosing your new 600 sport: the GSX 600 and R6 are really tempting!
